Milana and Jim began their marriage with a beautiful and moving wedding ceremony near the ocean. Their love is very apparent when they speak about one another. Milana describes Jim as a loving, warm, sensitive, and generous man who works hard to support his family. Jim admires Milana’s caring, warm-hearted and thoughtful ways, and says she will be “the best mom in the world”. They love spending time together at their house on the beach, having fun swimming in the ocean and playing with their dog and cats. Their neighborhood is filled with children and they are not far from the schools and playgrounds. They are completely overcome with joy when they imagine sharing their life with a child. Milana and Jim plan to share their child’s adoption story with them. Adoption is very familiar to them because Jim’s sister was adopted. They know exactly how much love adoption can add to a family!

Craig and Debi met and they said it was “love at first sight”. They were married four years later and had a beautiful outdoor reception. Craig and Debi feel their sense of humor and ability to laugh helps keep their relationship strong. They were overjoyed three years ago when they adopted their beautiful daughter Mackenzie and cannot remember what life was like without her. They say that if it wasn’t for the incredibly courageous and selfless act of Mackenzie’s birthmother then they wouldn’t be the family they are today. Debi is at home full-time and enjoys playing imagination games and reading books with Mackenzie. Craig often comes home early to have his special time with “his girls” and Mackenzie loves her trips in the car with her Daddy! Craig and Debi are thrilled to be adding a new little one to this home already filled with love.

Mark and Robin both come from large, close-knit families.   They met and fell in love while living in San Francisco and have been happily married for nine years. They adopted their son Milo through Adoptions With Love and cannot imagine life without him. They are constantly amazed at the complete joy this little guy has brought into their lives. They spent time with their son’s birthmother and will share this part of “his story” with him some day. Mark, Robin and Milo all love spending time with their extended families. They also treasure the time the three of them spend together, playing, reading and snuggling. Mark works for a large toy company, while Robin loves her role as a stay-at-home mom. Their dog Tika is another happy member of this family and they all look forward to welcoming a new baby sister or brother for Milo.

Clare and Pete have been married for for over 7 years.They say the best part of their marriage is being parents of their son Joseph who they adopted through Adoptions With Love. The happiness that Joseph brings into their lives is very visable and they positively beam when speaking of him. Clare is at home full time with Joseph and they have many friends over for play dates. Clare and Pete love the outdoors and live near the beach where they spend a lot of time making sandcastles and going for long walks. They also have a beautiful back yard with lots of room to play, have barbecues, and family gatherings.

Clare and Pete are grateful that they had the chance to meet their son’s birthparents and they enjoy sending beautiful pictures and letters to them. They are very excited to be adding a new member to this happy family.

Denise and Mike had a beautiful wedding ceremony on a gorgeous Greek island. They enjoy spending time together traveling, hiking, camping, and spending time with friends and family members. Their journey to adoption has brought them even closer as a couple. Mike describes Denise as a “wonderful wife who means the world to him”. Denise says that Mike is “generous and caring and will undoubtedly be a fantastic father”. They adore their nieces and nephews and have fun taking them to movies, bowling and sporting events. They also look forward to a week in the summer where they spend time at the beach with their best friends and their three children. Denise and Mike believe that “together they have a home full of love and understanding that is ready for a child.”

John and Cristin met at a golf course and right away they knew there was a connection. They were married several years later and soon welcomed their son Tommy into their hearts and home. This little kindergartner fills them with immense joy, but they still feel like there is someone missing from their family and are all very excited to build their family through adoption. Tommy says with confidence       “I’ll be the best big brother in the world!” John and Cristin truly feel that each child is a treasured gift. This family loves spending time with their aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents at the beach and for family celebrations. They also live in neighborhood filled with children of all ages and the ice cream truck makes its way through the street every night in the summer. Cristin loves being a stay-at-home mom!

Paul and Kelly grew up in the same town. They met at an anniversary party, she asked him to dance and they have been together ever since! They share a wonderful loving marriage. When you talk to them about one another, you immediately feel the genuine love and respect they have for each other. They enjoy sports, exercising, traveling, cooking and having friends and family over to enjoy lots of good food, play games, listen to music or hang out by the pool. Paul and Kelly can not wait to include a baby in their lives! Their nieces and nephews are very important to them. They often get phone calls from them reporting good news about their sports events and their activities… sometimes they even call for advice! Huggie Bear (their cat) eagerly awaits the new baby too!

Patrick and Sue met on a beach and began dating exclusively right away. Patrick has two wonderful sons from a previous marriage and Sue loves them dearly. Both boys are extremely excited to welcome a new baby to their family and can’t wait to be big brothers. Adoption has always been part of Sue and Patrick’s “family planning” discussions as Patrick and his three siblings were all adopted and had a wonderful and loving experience growing up. Patrick says his parents “are the best parents anyone could hope for”. Sue and Patrick share many interests including staying active and fit, trying new restaurants, going to the beach, attending concerts and spending time with friends and family. Sue and Patrick live in a lovely seaside community with great schools, arts and sports programs and children of all ages.

John and Trish met in Chicago and were married on the beach in the Dominican Republic. They are an active couple that can't wait for the adventures of parenthood. John sees Trish as loving, caring and disciplined; all characteristics of a great mom. Trish says John's patience and even keeled manner will, no doubt, make him a wonderful dad. They consider themselves fortunate to have careers they have always wanted. As a nurse Trish has the ability to help people when they need it most and to have a flexible schedule for a family and John's job allows him to work from home.They love skiing, dancing, playing softball and walking their cocker spaniel, Mandy. This couple plans to be open and honest with their child about their adoption story. They live on a dead end street and their yard is full of beautiful flowers. John and Trish can't wait to add a play area for their new little one!

Jeff and Christine are returning to Adoptions With Love for a second adoption. They are truly crazy-in-love with their son John, who has bought immense joy to their lives. They say he is in the 110th percentile for personality! They express their gratitude to John’s birthmom in the beautiful letters they write to her. Jeff and Christine are putting together a “Lifebook” about John’s story and plan to do the same for their next baby. They are both very close with their families, and refer to their siblings as their “best friends.” Their eight nieces and nephews along with family pets Rosie and Skippy all eagerly wait for the new baby to join this very happy family!

Michael and Kelly feel that from the beginning of their relationship they were a “great fit”. They dated for four years before getting married with a beautiful outdoor ceremony in historic Raleigh, North Carolina. They recently celebrated their 8 year wedding anniversary. Michael and Kelly are proud of the life they have created together and look forward to being able to share their love and happiness with a child. When Michael and Kelly realized they could not have a biological child, they knew adoption was a familiar and wonderful way to build their family. Kelly has a brother that was adopted and she says “he is my best friend; we spend hours talking on the phone and can’t wait for him to be an Uncle.” Michael has three siblings that live very close and many nieces and nephews who all await the arrival of a baby to this extended family. This couple enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to music, entertaining friends, and spending time at their family’s summer house near the ocean. As you can see by their photo they love animals. “Maisy” is cherished by Michael and Kelly!

Peter and Nicole met while they were attendants at Nicole’s sister’s wedding. They both knew instantly they would get married. Peter and Nicole say they are “best friends and are crazy about each other”. Both of them enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, going for walks and jet skiing at their family’s vacation home on the lake. They also love to laugh and just be together! They certainly have a zest for life. Their journey through infertility, although difficult, has brought them even closer as a couple.   They feel that building a family through adoption is a wonderful way to start a family. There will be plenty of aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents to welcome its newest member! Peter and Nicole also live in a neighborhood filled with children and their house is close to schools, parks, a bike trail and a town common where bands play in the summer. They look forward to long strolls with their new baby.

Bob and Sarah met at the gym. Both were attracted to each other right away but both were a little shy to speak up. Once they did they had an immediate connection and were married four years later. They see each other as soul-mates. Bob describes Sarah as determined, loving, empathetic and intelligent. Sarah describes Bob as genuine, trust-worthy, compassionate and gentle. They both have a great sense of humor and say they make each other laugh every day.   When they faced their infertility they knew right away that adoption was the way they were meant to build a family. Bob and Sarah have always loved children whether it be volunteering as coaches in the Special Olympics or spending time with their several nieces and nephews, with whom they are very close. This active couple enjoys going on walks both in the city and in their quiet neighborhood, taking trips to the beach, and exploring new areas with relaxing car rides. They cannot wait to take a little one with them on their little adventures!

April and Rich went to a Red Sox game on their second date and caught a foul ball straight from David Ortiz' bat! At that moment, knew they would be together! Their wedding celebration was an intimate, multi-ethnic dance-fest. Both of their families are very familiar with adoption. April was effectively adopted and raised by her aunt and uncle; Rich has seven nieces and nephews, two of whom were adopted. Rich feels that April will be "the most loving and insightful mother in the world". April describes Rich as "truly caring and wonderful with children". They love to go hiking and biking, which provides them a spiritual connection with nature. Rich plays the guitar, and they both love to hear live music together. April works with children as a school psychologist. She looks forward to being at home full-time with their child. Rich is a physician. He pursued a specialty which will allow him be with his family "one hundred percent". They anticipate being open about their child's adoption story from day one, and promoting positive feelings about his/her birth parents and life story.

In addition to interviewing the adoptive mother and father, we make sure the baby will have the benefit of a loving extended family – grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. We carefully screen and investigate all couples applying to adopt a baby to ensure that they will provide the baby with an excellent home including:

An examination of the couple’s work history, physical and emotional health, financial situation, and personal relationships.

A clearance is completed on each prospective adoptive family to ensure that your child will be raised in a safe, happy and loving home.

A full and complete police and social services clearance is required of each couple.

Adoptive couples prepare for parenthood by taking part in a series of classes where they learn about child development and baby care as well as explaining adoption to children.

Adoptions With Love, Inc. continues to follow each family after placement. Their social worker has ongoing contact with the family throughout your child’s infancy. This follow-up helps support the family in developing a loving attachment with their new child.
